What this website has to offer

This website is dedicated to helping students better understand the culture, structure, and importance of the Cherokee Indian. On the Student's page you will find general information about the Cherokee Indians as well as websites containing interactive games/information. For Teachers I have found a variety of lessons and books about the Cherokee. I have also included relevant Illinois State Learning Standards. And Parents will find relevant information, great books, and crafts to do at home that help facilitate in learning about this interesting and important culture.

My Personal Purpose

This website started out as a project for assigned during my senior year of college and turned into something so much more. I chose to create a website about Cherokee Indians because my Great-Grandfather was full Cherokee Indian; which means I am one-quarter Cherokee. I decided to take this opportunity to research my heritage and what I found was truly interesting. If you get a change to do the same you might be surprised by what you find.
